The plate heat exchanger is an important component on the refrigeration mainframe. It is a combination of a set of corrugated metal plates. General air-conditioning equipment can be used for 15 to 20 years under normal maintenance and repair conditions, but the main reason for the breakdown of the main plate heat exchanger is as follows:

1) Quality problem: Compared with the heat exchange surfaces of other heat exchangers, the heat exchange surface of the plate heat exchanger is quite thin, that is, 0.5 mm, and the allowable zui large corrosion degree is 0.05 mm/year. Ordinary plate heat exchangers are usually made of alloy material (304 or 316). 304 is a low-grade austenitic stainless steel. It has anti-corrosion ability to a certain range of organic substances, but is weak against hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. The material of the plate heat exchanger of the air conditioning main unit of this project is 304, so after 8 years, the plate will penetrate and corrode.

2) Maintenance issues: Plate heat exchangers are an important component of heat exchange technology in process industry equipment. The elastic gasket that seals between the various plate fins is a consumable part and is also an easily aging part under natural conditions. Its service life has an important influence on the service life of the plate heat exchanger. If these seals harden and lose their original elasticity, and if they are retightened or replaced in time, the heat exchanger may leak. In addition, the plate heat exchanger needs to be cleaned regularly after a long period of operation, usually once every two years. For example, the current plate heat exchanger can be disassembled to clean the pieces separately, but the plate heat exchanger on the mainframe of the project cannot be disassembled, and only the valves and plugs on the inlet and outlet pipes of the heat exchanger can be opened. To clean, so the heat exchanger is difficult to clean, it is easy to block, scale, once a part of the channel in the heat exchanger is blocked, the rest of the channel has to withstand the flow of all water, so that through the plate heat exchanger As the flow rate of the device increases, the friction increases and the wear is accelerated.

3) Construction problems: Only the “Y” type filter is installed in the system, and the electronic water treatment device is not installed, so it is difficult to ensure that the pipeline system does not scale. In addition, if the "Y" type filter is not cleaned in time, even if there is any tiny grit which is not harmful to the shell-and-tube heat exchanger in the circulating water, there will be damage to the plate heat exchanger.
