First, the preparation of seedling cultivation pond

Seed cultivation pond should choose shallow sediment (15-20cm), water conservation fertilizer, convenient water source, good water quality, an area of ​​2-4 acres of fish ponds is appropriate. In early May, disinfect with quicklime or bleached clear ponds to kill wild fish and predator creatures in the pool. After the toxicity disappears, add water to the pond at 60-80cm. When water is added, apply 60-mesh sieve filtration at the inlet to prevent wild miscellaneous fish from entering. .

Second, broodstock selection and stocking

After the seed tanks are ready, the broodstock can be selected for breeding.

1. Source and selection of broodstock: The broodstock of stingrays are mainly derived from sexually mature individuals caught in rivers and lakes or commercial fish farmed in ponds. The broodstock used for reproduction requires pure germplasm, large individuals, robust physique, disease-free, injury-free, and sexually mature individuals. Its females weigh more than 75 grams and males weigh more than 100 grams.

2, broodstock stocking: broodstock stocking time is from mid-May to early June, the stocking of the female requires a full and soft abdomen, ovarian contour is obvious, gonad round and red and swollen, maturity is more consistent; male genital abdomen requires obvious, individual Greater than females. The proportion of male to female can be 1:1, and conditions can be used to inject oxytocin into the broodstock before the broodstock is placed in the breeding pool so that the broodstock can be congregated spawning time and the seed size can be neat. If there is no condition, the broodstock can also be directly placed into the breeding pond. The amount of stocking can be determined according to the need, generally about 100 grams of brooding fish 10-20 groups.

Seedlings can be used in the pool of submerged plants, evenly distributed in the depth of 50-60cm around the cultivation pool, as a hidden broodstock spawning and fry attachment after hatching.

Third, seed cultivation

About one week after the broodstock is released, a manure or green manure may be applied to cultivate zooplankton for fish hatching. After that, the manure is usually 300-400kg of manure, or 350kg of green manure. After the seedlings are found in the pond, concealed objects can be picked up and broodstock can be picked up. It is best to catch the broodstock with a small hook so as not to disturb the pool water and affect the survival rate of the fry.

When the stingrays in the incubation pond grow to 2.5-3cm, the stocking density of the conventional seedling breeding ponds can be used to store the summer flowers. If the density of stingrays in the pool is large, the amount of conventionally eaten fish can be appropriately reduced. After the conventional fish seedlings are introduced, large-scale fingerlings will be cultivated according to conventional fingerling rearing and management methods.
