UL lithium battery test certification project!
Some items in the UL certification for lithium battery testing:
(1) Test item: short circuit test (BE-1000A or temperature type short circuit BE-1000W)
Experimental conditions: The battery was short-circuited at normal temperature and 60 °C ± 2 °C with a wire of less than 100 milliohms under full power.
Experimental requirements: the battery does not explode, no fire
Battery test reaction: The battery has no explosion and no fire. There is electrolyte leakage.
(2) Test project: overcharge test
Experimental conditions: The battery was charged with a constant current of 3C and 10V under full power conditions. When the current reached 100 mA, it was switched to constant voltage for 48 hours.
Experimental requirements: The battery does not explode and does not ignite.
Battery test reaction: battery drum, liquid leakage. But no explosion, no fire.
(3) Test item: extrusion test (BE-6045 extrusion test machine)
Conditions: At full power, a force of 13 kN was applied to the two pistons of 32 mm diameter on the side of the battery until the pressure on the piston reached 17.2 MP.
Experimental requirements: The battery does not ignite and does not explode.
Battery test reaction: The battery is severely deformed, the battery temperature rises, and the high temperature of zui reaches 147 °C. The battery has no explosion, no fire, and electrolyte leakage.
(4) Test item: Thermal shock test (BE-101 thermal shock test chamber)
Condition: Under full power condition, the temperature rises by 5 ° C / min in the high temperature chamber, and the temperature reaches 150 ° C for 10 minutes.
Requirements: The battery does not explode, does not ignite
Battery test reaction: A total of 10 batteries (10 Ah), 10 (7.5 Ah), and no battery reaction. According to the test engineer, this experiment, many manufacturers of batteries, whether it is small capacity or large capacity is difficult to pass, the experiment is dangerous.
(5) Test item: impact test (BE-5066 battery weight impact test machine)
Condition: Under full power conditions, a steel rod with a diameter of 15.8 mm was placed on the battery. At a distance of 61 cm from the battery, an object of 9.1 kg weight was free to fall on the steel rod.
Experimental requirements: the battery has no explosion, no fire
Battery test reaction: The battery is deformed, the battery plane becomes concave, and the battery temperature starts to rise. 15 batteries have two temperatures reaching 124 ° C, but the battery has no explosion and no fire. Other battery temperatures range from 35 to 82 °C.
