First, the commonly used anti-mildew agent species

1. Benzoic acid and sodium benzoate. Both benzoic acid and sodium benzoate can inhibit the activity of microbial cell respiratory enzymes non-selectively and impair the metabolism of microorganisms, thereby effectively inhibiting the growth and reproduction of various microorganisms, and have no adverse effects on the growth and reproduction of animals. Sodium benzoate is mainly used in feeds, and the general usage does not exceed 0.1%.

2. Propionic acid and its salts. Propionic acid is a corrosive organic acid. It is a colorless, transparent liquid and is easily soluble in water. Propionates include sodium propionate, calcium propionate, potassium propionate, and ammonium propionate. Propionic acid and propionate are all acidic mildewproofing agents. They have a broad antibacterial spectrum, and have a certain inhibitory effect on molds, fungi, and yeasts. Their toxicity is very low and they are intermediate products of normal metabolism of animals. All kinds of animals can be used as the most commonly used antifungal agent in feeds.

3. Fumaric acid and its esters. Fumaric acid esters include dimethyl fumarate, diethyl fumarate and dibutyl fumarate. Among them, dimethyl fumarate has a good antifungal effect. Fumaric acid and its esters are also acidic mildew-repellent agents, and have a broad antibacterial spectrum, and can improve the taste of feed and improve feed utilization. The general use amount is about 0.2%.

4. Dehydroacetic acid. Dehydroacetic acid is a highly effective broad-spectrum antibacterial agent, which has strong inhibitory effects on the growth of bacteria, molds, and yeasts, and has the strongest effect on molds. It has certain antibacterial effects under conditions such as acid and alkali. Dehydroacetic acid is a low-toxic anti-mildew agent that generally has no adverse effects. The amount used is about 0.05%.

5. Parabens. It has the strongest effect on mold and yeast. When parabens and starch coexist, their effects will be affected, and care should be taken when using them.

6. Compound anti-mold agent. Refers to the combination of two or more different anti-mould agents, for example, the US-made Ke-Ke Ba is a mixture of propionic acid, acetic acid, benzoic acid, sorbic acid and the like. The composite anti-mold agent has a wide antibacterial spectrum, a wide range of applications, a good anti-mildew effect, a small amount, and convenient use, and is a commonly used antifungal agent in feed.

Second, the reasonable application of feed anti-mould agent

1. The right choice of anti-mold agent. The use of anti-mold agents in feed must ensure that under the premise of effective dose, it can not cause animal acute and chronic poisoning and drug over-limit residual; there should be no adverse effects such as carcinogenic, teratogenic and mutagenic; anti-mold agent can not affect the original feed Some organic flavors such as acetic acid, propionic acid and other organic acids are volatile and easily affect the taste of feed. Therefore, the effect of salt or vinegar may be better. The ideal anti-mold agent should also have the characteristics of wide antibacterial range, strong anti-mildew ability, easy mixing with feed, economical and practical. Under normal circumstances, propionate and some complex anti-mold agents are the first to consider species, such as Lobo fine salt, Kejiba, Wanxiangbao and other economical and practical products, quality and effect are guaranteed.

2. Flexible use of anti-mold agents based on actual conditions such as moisture content. There are many factors affecting the effect of the anti-mold agent, such as the solubility of the anti-mold agent, the pH of the feed environment, the moisture content, the temperature, the content of sugar and salt in the feed, and the degree of feed pollution. However, the use of anti-mold agents in feeds is mainly based on the season and moisture content to determine whether to use and dosage. Therefore, in the dry and cool seasons such as autumn and winter, feed moisture is below 11%, generally do not need to use anti-mold agent; and moisture should be used in more than 12% anti-mold agent, and the higher moisture in the feed and high temperature and humidity season The amount of anti-mold agent should be increased so as to ensure a good anti-mildew effect.

3. Combination of anti-mold agent and antioxidant. The moldy process of feed is also accompanied by the oxidation process of nutrients in the feed.
