Diagnosis and treatment of abnormal smoke color in diesel engine

When the diesel engine is operating normally, the exhaust gas emitted is almost colorless and transparent. When it is not working properly, the exhaust gas is black, white and blue. Careful analysis of the cause of smoke and timely troubleshooting will not only save fuel, but also reduce wear and tear, and maximize ergonomics. (I) Black smoke is mainly due to poor atomization of diesel fuel injected into the cylinder or unburned, turning into black carbon particles under high temperature and high pressure, and being contained in the exhaust gas. The prevention and control measures are as follows: if the diesel engine is overloaded, the injectors shall be checked and calibrated; if the injectors are not working properly, the injectors shall be adjusted until the atomization, range, pressure and injection area meet the standards; if the fuel supply time is too late, The advance angle of fuel supply should be adjusted; if the gap between the intake and exhaust valves is incorrect, the valve clearance should be adjusted according to regulations; if the air filter or silencer is blocked, it should be promptly removed. (b) The main reason for white smoke emission is that the temperature of the diesel engine is too low, diesel fuel injected into the cylinder cannot be completely burned, and the diesel fuel is white mist or vapor and discharged along with the exhaust gas. In addition, the fuel injected into the cylinder contains moisture and makes the exhaust white. The prevention and control measures are as follows: If the engine is not warmed up enough and the temperature is too low, the water should be heated in the tank before starting. When necessary, release the oil and add it after heating. If there is water in the fuel tank, check the leak and block it. Then, release water and oil, add water-free oil; if the injector is not working, adjust or replace the injector; if the oil supply time is too early, you should adjust the fuel supply advance angle. (c) Blue smoke is mainly caused by the combustion of a large amount of engine oil into the combustion chamber. The prevention and control measures are as follows: If the oil sump of the oil sump is too high and exceeds the prescribed height, resulting in the oil entering the combustion chamber, the oil dipstick shall be inspected to release the excess oil; if the piston ring is opened in a straight line or the piston ring is insufficiently elastic, the piston ring If there is excessive wear or breakage due to flipping, excessive wear or breakage, which results in oil snaking, the ring should be staggered and the piston ring should be properly installed or the unqualified piston ring must be replaced. If the piston and cylinder sleeve are worn badly, replace the piston and cylinder. If the valve stem and the valve guide tube are worn out, the oil leaks into the cylinder and the wear rod should be replaced. If the air filter surface is ultra-high, the oil will be sucked into the combustion chamber with air, and the excess oil should be drained. China Agricultural Network Editor
