Summer egg chicken drinking water

Water is the source of all life. All life activities are inseparable from water. Water supply to chickens, especially laying hens, is more knowledgeable.

Water has a great influence on the egg production rate of egg-laying poultry. The supply of drinking water is very important and the water supply is insufficient. As a result, the egg production rate is seriously reduced. Poultry water needs are generally thought to be 1:2 water. Uninterrupted water supply (free drinking water) is used in actual production, or sufficient water supply is intermittently provided, and the amount of water supply can be completely guaranteed. The quality of water has a serious impact on the egg production rate. High levels of nitrite in the water cause diarrhea in laying hens, resulting in decreased egg production and hatching rates; pathogenic microorganisms in the water are an important source of infection for egg-laying poultry diseases, causing a drop in egg production. Therefore, it is necessary to provide sufficient, clean and hygienic drinking water for laying hens, but the water quantity requirement is rather low.

Water consumption of laying hens

Under normal circumstances, each chicken needs water daily: about 110 ml in winter, about 280 ml in summer, and about 200 ml in spring and autumn. When the egg production rate increases, the water requirement also increases. This is because at this time the chicken has a strong egg production and the metabolism is strengthened. Not only does the formation of the egg require water, but as the food intake of the chicken increases, the water requirement also gradually increases. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the water supply during the peak period of chicken egg production. Otherwise, the health and egg production will be directly affected.

Laying time for laying hens

Chickens have peaked three times a day in drinking water, that is, every morning at 8 o'clock, 12 o'clock noon and 6 o'clock in the afternoon. The drinking time of the chicken is mostly in the light time. Around 8 am, chickens begin to receive light (daylight or light); at around 12 noon, it is the peak time for chickens to lay eggs. After the hens have finished laying eggs, the body consumes more water and feels very thirsty to drink water; afternoon Around 6 o'clock, the lighting time is about to end, ready to enter the evening to rest, the chicken to drink enough water to facilitate the body to spare at night. If laying hens do not drink water or drink enough water during the peak periods of these three water demands, the egg production and health of chickens will be quickly demonstrated.
