Ministry of Health: Children's two major illnesses ** pilot case information should be registered

Last year, the Ministry of Health launched a nationwide experimental pilot program for rural children's medical insurance to improve medical security. Recently, the Ministry of Health issued a notice that starting from January 1, the Ministry of Health will register information on the diagnosis and treatment of children with leukemia and childhood congenital heart disease. The designated hospital shall enter the basic information of the child within 1 day of receiving the relevant case, and fill in the relevant information of the diagnosis and treatment within 3 days after the completion of the treatment of each case.

The notification pointed out that the cases that need to register information are children's acute lymphoblastic leukemia, children's acute promyelocytic leukemia, and medical expenses according to the "Opinions on the Pilot Work of Improving Rural Children's Major Disease Medical Protection Levels". Children with congenital atrial septal defect, children with congenital ventricular septal defect, children with congenital patent ductus arteriosus and children with congenital pulmonary valve stenosis.

The Ministry of Health requires all designated hospitals to set up a work information reporting system for cases of children with leukemia and congenital heart diseases. The Ministry of Health will regularly publish pilot work on the management and control of medical quality.

Last year, the Ministry of Health required all provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) to select two or three participating populations in their respective jurisdictions with strong informatization management capabilities and have carried out immediate reporting and medical assistance at designated medical institutions at provincial and municipal levels. The "county-serving county (city)" carried out pilot projects for rural children's medical insurance. The pilot work can begin with the resolution of two major diseases, acute leukemia and congenital heart disease, in children 0 to 14 years of age. In principle, the compensation ratio of the new rural cooperative medical system to the pilot disease category should reach about 70% of the limited cost of the province (region, city). The medical assistance should compensate the eligible patients again, and the compensation rate should not be less than 20% of the limited cost.
