Experts talk about current common swine diseases and their prevention and control

Organized by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health (China) Co., Ltd., China Animal Husbandry Industry and Commerce (Group) Corporation, Beijing Ripule Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Technology Co., Ltd. co-organized the 2006 Beijing Scale Pig Disease Control Technology Symposium in October 21 The day was successfully held at the Shunyi Hotel in Beijing. The meeting mainly discussed current common swine diseases.

1 Pig hyperthermia syndrome

Firstly, Professor Yao Longtao from Fengxian District Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Station of Shanghai made a wonderful report on the pig hyperthermia syndrome that we are currently concerned about. He first explained to everyone why he thought it was called "pig fever," and he thought that "high fever" was inaccurate, and "high fever" was the symptom of the disease rather than a disease. So he himself thought it was more appropriate to call "Pig High fever syndrome". Many diseases can cause high fever in pigs, such as swine fever, swine erysipelas, swine plague, erythroderma, swine flu, and unnamed high fever. This year, the onset of swine fever syndrome is characterized by high morbidity and mortality. Finishing pigs, nursery pigs, and breeding pigs have higher morbidity. The main manifestations of sick pigs are increased body temperature, difficulty breathing, some sows abortion, and some Porcine conjunctivitis; autopsy manifested as sepsis, respiratory disease, ventricular atrial endometrial hemorrhage, pulmonary interstitial edema, hepatic changes, gastric mucosal bleeding ulcers, ileitis mucosal potential bleeding, cecal colon mucosal bleeding, bile deposition, kidney swelling Da Yu blood cortex bleeding, bladder scattered small bleeding points and other symptoms. 15% of sepsis caused by this disease is caused by Haemophilus parasuis. The experts have their own opinions on the cause of the disease. They are swine fever, influenza, blue ear disease, mycotoxin, and climate anomaly. New pathogens and so on. Non-human livestock and non-African Bristles have been recognized by everyone. What caused the cause? Mr. Yao believes that everyone should calmly face the high fever syndrome of pigs, which is preventable, treatable, and controllable. He talked about his own opinion about the disease. First, the prognosis of the diseased pigs was poor, and various pathogens such as Streptococcus pasteis were isolated. Diseased pigs are sensitive to cephalosporins, and high fever is the animal's protective response to the disease. In clinical trials, many fields use a large amount of analgin to inject the injected pigs. This is very incorrect because Analgin destroys leukocytes in immune cells. After a large number of injections, the sick pigs will be worse. The immunosuppressive factors have a great influence on the pig population. For the prevention and control of the disease, immunization against swine fever should be done, including over-exemption and emergency immunization of epidemic spots; attention should be paid to the effect of blue ear disease on swine fever; attention should be paid to heating and insulation in winter; strictly follow the measures of weaning and separation, piglets The material must be better, we must put two feeding troughs and one trough. If we do not do this, we will lose weight when the milk is strong; winter should pay attention to the warmth of pregnant pigs. The body temperature of pregnant pigs is low. It will reduce the birth weight of the pigs, increase the weak ones, pay attention to the wind and cold insulation of the north window, prevent sudden death of pregnant pigs, pay attention to the immunity of Pasteurella pilosula, and prevent the harm and poisoning of mycotoxins.

2 Serological detection in disease control

Dr. Miao Deyuan, the technical director of IDEXX, explained to everyone. Serological response refers to the binding reaction of the corresponding antigen and antibody in vitro. Since antibodies are mainly present in serum, antibody-containing serum is generally used as an experimental material for this type of reaction. Therefore, in vitro antigens and antibody reactions are called serological reactions. This kind of reaction is based on the principle that antigens and antibodies have a high degree of specificity, that is, using the known party to detect the existence of the other party. Both qualitative and quantitative. Known antibodies can be used to detect unknown antigens, such as identifying pathogenic microorganisms; known antigens can also be used to detect unknown antibodies, such as to aid in the diagnosis of a disease.

When performing serological tests, the most important thing is to take a scientific sample. To extract the blood of the pigs to be tested, the sample requires that the normal serum should be light yellow; 2 Do not store for too long; 320 to 30 samples or more. It is not possible to collect only small pigs for random sampling. Then, he also introduced the detection of swine fever as an example: Swine fever is one of the most important diseases that endanger the swine industry in China. It can be divided into acute swine fever, chronic swine fever and delayed swine fever. Routine monitoring of swine fever should be carried out. The best detection method is ELISA. At present, the main problems in the prevention of swine fever are: persistent strains of infected pigs; maternal antibodies interfere with vaccination, and maternal antibodies produce immunity to piglets from 0 to 3 weeks of age. 3 to 6 At maternal age, maternal antibodies have some interference with piglet immunity. After 8 weeks, there is no interference but there is no protection. Generally, the vaccine injection should be 3-8 weeks old, but the time of vaccine injection should go through serology. Testing can be determined; how to obtain effective immunity; environmental and biological safety measures to reduce herd infection. Normal antibodies can be detected 10 to 13 days after immunization. The purpose of serological detection of swine fever antibodies is to remove pigs without antibodies (immature immune system or delayed swine fever), select the timing of immunity, and help determine the immune effect. Detection of antibodies, such as pigs with low antibody needs to consider a pig's problem if they want to make up a needle vaccine, such as antibodies, or they may not be immune. Antibody monitoring is very important in actual production. It is necessary to strengthen awareness in this area and to prevent the epidemic.

3 New clinical manifestations of PRRS and application of PRRS vaccine

Dr. Zhu Liande from Boehringer made a wonderful report to the guests sitting here. The blue ear disease occurred in China for the first time in 1996 and it has been ten years since this year. Now the blue ear disease shows many new clinical symptoms such as Abortion fetuses usually show black fetuses at the end of pregnancy. The diarrhea in the farrowing room is particularly severe, the occipital legs increase, the abdominal breathing occurs 14 days or earlier, some pigs have neurological symptoms, nursery pigs have hind limb paralysis, gallbladder, fever, and stiff pigs. , Pigs in growing pigs have serious respiratory problems, high fever, and increased eye diseases. The symptoms of boar and blue-ear ear disease are mainly manifested in a transient increase in body temperature, anorexia, depression, respiratory symptoms, lack of libido, decreased semen quality, and reduced sperm abnormalities. . Blue-ear disease rarely occurs alone; mixed infection continues to rise; viral mutations are severe and mortality is high; sub-clinical infections are generally atypical blue-ear disease, persistent latent infection, long duration, and long duration of viremia; drug treatment Invalid; the effect of emergency immunization is inconsistent. So, how should blue-ear disease be controlled? Dr. Zhu proposed a series of control measures: to strengthen bio-security measures, the farm's environment is better, to prevent birds and rodents from spreading diseases; to raise the level of pig farm management, must provide the full price of nutrition for the pigs Feed, to do the usual feeding and management; the application of safe and effective blue-ear disease vaccine, the current incidence of blue ear disease in our country are not detected in the European strain of the European strain, the results of the experimental study showed that the weak virus vaccine than the inactivated vaccine The effect is good. Therefore, aquaculture companies must pay attention to the prevention of blue ear disease.
